"Critically acclaimed....spectacular photos."
- The Globe and Mail
Who am I and what am I about? I am a photographer, a dreamer, and a documentor. I am a writer, an explorer, and a purveyor of beauty and light. I am on a continual journey to seek out and capture the beauty of existence- whether it's the most extreme and pristine environments in our world, or the beauty of humanity.
I am a creative who tries to avoid labels and enjoys, first and foremost, storytelling with my photography. Using time, place, and moments with others - my aim is to further an appreciation for the fact that we all live in a shared space. And that there is far greater good to be appreciated in this world than bad.
In addition to living throughout northern Canada for much of my life - an area of Canada that I have worked hard to document and share with audiences, I – along with my beautiful wife, Erin, and our three children – have also lived in Asia and have traveled extensively through both the many provinces and territories of our native country and numerous countries abroad. I now live proudly on Prince Edward Island on Canada’s East Coast, and am a child of the sea.
The Boring CV
I have taught photography around Canada and the globe, including engagements for Nikon (Dubai), One Ocean Expeditions (Antarctica), After Dark Education (St. Louis), Mystic Seminars (Portland), PPAM (Plymouth), the Globe and Mail (Toronto). Nationally, I have been featured as a presenter at both CAPA (Vancouver/2015, Ottawa, 2017), PPOC Inspired Vision Conference (Keynote, Charlottetown, 2015), and PPOC’s National Conventions (Vancouver, 2018). I lead photography workshops around the world, preaching creativity, authenticity, and respect for this planet’s many wonders.
I’ve been published numerous times online and in print, including CNN, Photo Life Magazine, Canadian Geographic, the Daily Telegraph, up! magazine, Australian Antarctic Magazine, Outdoor Photographer, Dark Beauty Magazine, Outdoor Photography Canada, the National Post, Reader’s Digest, the Toronto Star, Macleans, The Huffington Post, the WWF, The Globe and Mail, Up Here, The Today Show, the CBC, up!
