People from the South think of the North as a remote, cold place filled with tiny towns and mosquitos the size of tennis balls. Well…I have to say they’re right. But what they don’t realize is that we have talent in Yellowknife that can hold a stick to any booming metropolis. I am constantly amazed at what this city (and this Territory, for that matter) produces in terms of creativity.
When I ran into well-known Yellowknife jewelry designer, fashion show coordinator, and modeling agent Jamie Look and we discussed a shoot her talented team, I knew we were in for something special. Here’s just a tiny fraction of what we shot, and I’ll do a follow-up post (which will detail all the talented models, make-up artists, hair stylists, etc that went into the shoot) down the road with more results from this on-location studio shoot.
Special thanks to Nigel Fearon for assisting me on this.
