Perhaps the greatest view that I will ever have: a series of five photographs shot atop Kala Patthar, a small mountain in the Nepalese Himalayas, which offers panoramic views of the "giants", including Mount Everest.
I apologize in advance for my Photoshop skills: three of the five photos merged together almost seamlessly. The other ones not so perfectly, resulting in a visible line right of centre. This was made from five 21MP RAW files converted to JPEGs, then stiched together (not perfectly, mind you), using PS sphotomerge
Mount Everest is just left of centre (actually appears to be smaller than Nuptse, which looms to the right.
The mountains in this picture, from left to right:
- Pumori
- Lingtren
- Khumbutse
- Changtse
- Everest West Shoulder
- Mount Everest
- Lhotse
- Nuptse
- Ama Dablam (sharp point 3/4 right)
- Kangtega
- Thamserku
You MUST view this larger: Download a bigger version (original PSD document is about 600MB; don’t worry, haven’t posted it here).

Hi Dave,
Your Panoramic View of Mount Everest is simply amazing. I am using it as my background for my website, firstethiopianoneverest.org. It should be up and running with a week. Check it out.
